New: Impressum and Legal Page Crawling for Better Emails

When we visit a business website to find contact details, two things often got in the way. First, many sites show a cookie or consent popup first—and if that popup isn’t closed, we couldn’t properly read the page. Second, a lot of businesses don’t put their email or phone on the main page; they hide it on a separate “legal” or “contact” page (like Impressum, Imprint, or Privacy). So we sometimes came back with no email or phone even when the business had one somewhere on their site.

We improved the system in two ways. 1) We now automatically look at “legal” and contact pages. If your workflow is set to extract email or phone, we don’t stop at the homepage. We also check common pages where businesses put their contact details—such as Impressum, Imprint, Privacy Policy, Legal Notice, or Contact. So we find more emails and phone numbers that would have been missed before. 2) We handle cookie and consent popups. When a site shows a “Accept all” or “OK” style banner, we close it in a safe way so we can read the rest of the page. We also make sure we don’t get lost in extra browser tabs. That means fewer runs that get stuck and more completed workflows.

You don’t need to do anything different. Your workflows run the same way: you choose what to extract (email, phone, etc.) and launch. Under the hood, the system is now better at finding contact data and less likely to stop because of a popup or a missing link on the main page. In practice, that means more leads with valid email or phone, and fewer runs that seem to “hang” or finish with empty fields when the business actually has that information on their site.
